Dr. Michael Milyavsky
Milyavsky lab at the Department of Pathology, School of Medicine investigates how normal and Leukemic Stem Cells (LSCs) cope with stress, e.g. DNA damage, transplantation and aging. These questions are important to preserve normal blood regeneration and to limit the risk of leukemogenesis. In addition, we strive to discover how LSCs escape therapy and try to devise strategies to prevent this from happening.
